Children’s Books

BETTY LOU the BI-PLANE
Painting is therapeutic for me. Even when it is for someone else’s project, it soothes my soul – a much needed respite these days.
I am currently creating the artwork for “Betty Lou the Bi-Plane”, a children’s book written by Mary Woolslayer of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In spite of delays and obstacles, we continue to be hopeful Betty Lou will be on bookshelves early 2010.
The story follows the journey of Betty Lou from a shiny new plane, through the years and her many “careers” along with the way.
The original art is all individual paintings. Once finished I will scan them and the printer will position them within the text. It is going to be a fun and beautiful book; one people will be proud to give their children and grandchildren.
I will do my best to get some photos of the art up on this page soon.
